Tampa Bay Recovery Center officially opens its doors this week to patients

New center brings much-needed addiction and mental health treatment to local area

TAMPA, FL (August 22, 2022)Tampa Bay Recovery Center, an outpatient center providing treatment for addiction and mental health, officially opened its doors today. The facility, which accepts most major private medical insurance, offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP) and outpatient services for adults 18 and up. Conveniently located residential options—all within walking distance of the Tampa Bay Recovery Center office—are also available.

“Our mission at Tampa Bay Recovery Center is to offer a thriving start to recovery journeys with individualized programs and structured treatment plans,” said Carter Pope Jr., CEO and founder, who has previous experience opening and operating Buckhead Behavioral Heath in Atlanta, GA. “After the global pandemic led to not only increased isolation but also increased rates of mental health concerns and substance use disorders, this service is needed now more than ever. We have an incredible knowledge set and a strong reputation from our work in Atlanta, and we are proud to expand here and provide a much-needed resource to Tampa and the surrounding areas.”

The team of professionals at Tampa Bay Recovery Center will offer drug rehab, alcohol rehab in Tampa, dual diagnosis disorders and mental health conditions including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.

“With our group and one-on-one therapy, we are helping individuals battling these issues get back on track to have a healthier and happier life,” said Alec Pagliarulo, President. “I couldn’t be more excited about our talented team of therapists and the meaningful difference we’ll make for our patients and their loved ones during this journey, which can be overwhelming and devastating without the right support.”

Tampa Bay Recovery Center is located at 6501 First Avenue South (in St. Pete), in a safe, central, and convenient area. The clean, modern office fosters a private and peaceful atmosphere to help patients recover. The facility features a waiting area, intake room, medical room, kitchen/break area for staff and patients, three therapist offices and two spacious group rooms for shared healing.

“We’re launching Tampa Bay Recovery Center to raise the standard and offer a new high-quality treatment option for those in the local area and beyond,” said Jeff Jensen, Executive Director.”We felt we had a real opportunity to help people here by bringing our unique and specific style of treatment to a new community. Our mission is to redefine addiction treatment in Tampa, and we look forward to working with our trusted network of industry partners as we tackle this disease together.”

Founder Carter Pope Jr. began his own journey of recovery several years ago, and since has made it his mission to expand treatment options for people suffering from substance use disorder. In 2019, he opened Creekside Recovery Residences in Atlanta to offer premier, community-living sober residences, followed by Buckhead Behavioral Health in 2021.
