Our Strength is Our Stories

At Tampa Bay Recovery Center, your success is what keeps us going. We believe in the healing power of sharing. Our alumni share their stories not only to validate their celebration but to also show that recovery from addiction is possible.

“I came to the point where I had tried everything to stop and found myself broken. That is when I decided the only way I was going to have a chance at living treatment was the only option.  I then checked myself into a treatment facility and that was where the healing started. Once I completed my 39 days at a residential facility in Jacksonville I moved down to St. Petersburg and stayed at Tampa Bay Recovery for 3 and half months. I had some of the best times there.

I now have a desire to live and see what life has in store for me. I have a better community than ever before who actually care about me. This is something I have never experienced in the past. I am now working and going back to school to get a Masters in Marriage and Family therapy. With this degree I will be able to help clothes who are going through the same things.”

“I had been in all levels of treatment care before coming to TBRC. This is the first place where I found an excellent level of commitment, care and treatment. This facility truly cares for its patients. Most of the people who work at TBRC have walked in “our shoes” (the alcoholic or addict) at some point in their lives. This makes them UNIQUELY able to help and understand it’s patients. After several years of relapsing, Tampa Bay Recovery taught me how to live the life of recovery..I recommend this facility above any I have attended.”

“My life was a complete train wreck. My relationships were a disaster. I was completely unemployable and horribly addicted. Now I am free from the entanglement and isolation of addiction. My relationships are healing and getting better. I have a very nice job as a delivery driver and I’m currently in school to become a certified addiction specialist. I didn’t know life could be so good I would not be where I am in my recovery today we’re not for the professional team at Tampa Bay recovery”
