Our St. Petersburg Facility

Tampa Bay Recovery Center sits at 6501 1st Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33707. Our facility was built to feel calm and private. The environment someone heals in matters just as much as the treatment itself.

We’re licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families and accredited by The Joint Commission, which reflects our commitment to consistent, high-quality clinical care. Being based directly in St. Pete means our team knows this community, and it shows in how we work with local clients and their families.

Rehab Programs in St. Petersburg

We offer a full continuum of care, starting with detox and continuing through Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), standard outpatient rehab, long-term rehab, and sober living. Virtual treatment is also available for clients who need flexibility.

Having every level of care under one roof means clients don’t have to start over with a new facility as their needs change. Your treatment team stays the same throughout your recovery, which builds the kind of consistency that actually supports lasting change.

Detox in St. Petersburg

Detox is the first step for most clients, and it’s where our clinical team manages withdrawal safely while addressing both the physical and emotional sides of early recovery. We treat withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, fentanyl, benzodiazepines, stimulants, and other substances, using medication support and close monitoring throughout.

Detox typically lasts five to ten days depending on the substance and severity of dependence, though some clients need longer. Before detox is complete, our team works with you to build a plan for what comes next, since detox alone rarely leads to lasting recovery on its own.

Our St. Pete Team

Our clinical team includes licensed therapists, psychiatric providers, and addiction specialists who work together on every client’s care. Dr. Yogesh Jonnagadla, MD, oversees psychiatric care at our facility, while Clinical Director Kristin Raider, LCSW, leads our therapy programs.

Every team member brings real experience in substance use and mental health treatment, and they work collaboratively so your care stays connected across every part of your treatment.

What We Treat

We treat substance use disorders involving alcohol, opioids, fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, benzodiazepines, kratom, and prescription medications. We also treat mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, and ADHD.

Dual diagnosis care is central to how we work, since addiction and mental health conditions so often occur together. Treatment combines CBT, DBT, EMDR, brainspotting, individual and family therapy, medication-assisted treatment, and holistic options like red light therapy, all built around each client’s specific needs.

Getting Here

Our facility is easy to reach from across Pinellas County.

From Downtown St. Pete, it’s about a 10 to 15 minute drive south via 4th Street or I-275. From Gulfport, we’re just a short trip north, typically under 15 minutes. Pinellas Park residents can take 49th Street South directly to our location in about 15 to 20 minutes, and Kenneth City is a similarly quick drive along Park Boulevard.

PSTA bus routes serve the general area, though most clients find driving or rideshare options more convenient given our location near Gandy Boulevard.
